Driver Thrown From Car Killed In I-4 Crash: Highway Patrol

The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a weekend crash that killed a woman who lost control of her car in Polk County on Interstate-4.

POLK COUNTY, FL — A 35-year-old Bradley woman was killed early Sunday morning when her car crashed into multiple trees on Intersate-4 in Polk County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The woman lost control of her car for unknown reasons on I-4 eastbound near milepost 53 at about 3:09 a.m., investigators said. After the victim's car crashed into multiple trees, she was thrown from the car and died, according to detectives.

A 36-year-old passenger in her car experienced minor injuries, troopers said.
