Federal Air Marshal Accused Of Domestic Abuse: Polk Sheriff
A federal air marshal from Lakeland has been charged with domestic battery after being accused of pushing his girlfriend against a door.

LAKELAND, FL — A federal air marshal from Lakeland has been charged with domestic battery after being accused of pushing his girlfriend when she tried to leave their home during an argument.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a home in Lakeland after the victim reported she was pushed against a door in the home by Fernando Gonzalez, 51. Deputies observed a small cut mark on the victim’s left wrist.
Gonzalez denied touching the victim during the argument.

“We expect better from a law enforcement officer. We have notified the air marshal’s office of this arrest.” said Polk Deputy Grady Judd.
Gonzalez was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail.
