HAINES CITY, FL — Starting Wednesday, July 20, off-site widening and turn lane construction for a new subdivision will close H.L. Smith Road for three weeks in unincorporated Haines City, just south of the intersection at Lake Hatchineha Road (County Road 542).
Traffic will be briefly detoured along Lake Hatchineha Road, Alford Road and Edwards Road to bypass the closure. Minor delays are possible, especially during peak-hour traffic. Commuters are advised to drive with caution, be alert to detour signs and add extra drive time to trips through this area.
