I-4 Eastbound Lanes Reopened After Fatal Crash Investigation

POLK COUNTY, FL — All lanes of Interstate-4 eastbound have reopened following the Thursday morning closure for a fatal pedestrian crash investigation, troopers said.

Lanes of Interstate 4 eastbound at U.S. Highway 27 are closed off Thursday morning after multiple cars hit a pedestrian who walked across the interstate, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Investigators said the victim died at the crash location.
