IKEA Opens Kitchen, Laundry Planning Centers At Select FL, TX Best Buy Stores

IKEA has opened shop-in-shop experiences at select Best Buy stores in Florida and Texas.

The global home furnishings brand now offers “inspirational kitchen and laundry room” planning centers at Best Buy locations in Boynton Beach, Lakeland, Melbourne, and Waterford Lakes, Florida, as well as Alamo Ranch, Texas, according to a news release.

The Lakeland and Alamo Ranch stores also serve as an IKEA product pick-up point.

These cross-brand IKEA experiences will also open at stores in Mesquite, Hulen, and South Austin, Texas on Nov. 14, with another coming to Humble, though no opening date is set.

These planning centers will combine Best Buy’s high-tech appliances, such as refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers and washer and dryers, with IKEA furniture.

"This partnership is about bringing great design, functionality, and affordability closer to the many, and we can't wait to welcome customers in Florida and Texas to experience this new way to shop IKEA in Best Buy," Javier Quiñones, IKEA U.S. CEO, said. "For the first time in the U.S., IKEA products will be available through another retailer, which is a big step forward on our journey to create a better everyday life for the many people."

IKEA operates 53 regular stores in the United States, as well as a number of pick-up and plan-and-order locations.
