Kiwanas To Host 2017 Pancake Festival At Joker Marchant Stadium
Flipping for Charities, the 59th annual event, helps support the children of Lakeland.
LAKELAND, FL – For the past 58 years, Joker Marchant Stadium has flipped from baseball to pancakes for an annual tradition. This year will be no exception.
The Citrus Center Kiwanis Club of Lakeland will host Flipping for Charities, its 59th annual pancake festival, on Saturday, April 8 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the stadium located at 2301 Lakeland Hills Blvd.
Flipping for Charities is one of many pancake breakfast fundraisers hosted by Kiwanis clubs across the country. Traditionally, the fundraisers go to support children’s charities in the clubs’ service area.

The Citrus Center’s fundraiser is no different. The 2017 Flipping for Charities will benefit the following Lakeland charitable organizations:
- Big Brothers Big Sisters
- Boys & Girls Clubs
- Camp Fire
- Early Learning Coalition of Polk County
- Fontaine Gills Family YMCA
- Girls, Inc.
- kidsPACK
- Parker Street Ministries
Tickets are $20 for a family pack (two adults, two children) $8 for adults and $4 for children age 2 through 12 and can be purchased online at http://www.elcpolk.org/events/pancake-festival-2017/. Admission includes pancakes, sausage, coffee, orange juice, music, games and other entertainment. Children’s tickets include moonwalk activities and a milk ticket.
