Lakeland Man Killed In Single-Car Crash: Florida Highway Patrol
A driver had a medical emergency as he drove his truck on I-4 that caused a fatal wreck, The Florida Highway Patrol said.
POLK COUNTY, FL — A 44-year-old Lakeland man was killed in a single-car crash on Interstate-4 in Polk County early Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The driver drove his truck westbound on I-4 in the inside lane near milepost 34 when he lost control of his vehicle when he had a medical emergency, investigators said. His truck drove into the media and slammed into nearby cable barriers.
Authorities said he died at a local hospital.
