Lakeland Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On Harden Boulevard
Police said the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer lost control, swerved and rolled over, striking several before ending up in a ditch.
LAKELAND, FL — Lakeland police are investigating a crash on Harden Boulevard that killed a 69-year-old Lakeland man Monday.
At 12:49 p.m., officers responded to a crash in the 1800 block of Harden Boulevard involving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer that lost control, swerved and rolled over, striking several before ending up in a ditch. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Trailblazer.
Lakeland police, Polk County Fire Rescue and the Lakeland Fire Department began life-saving measures but the driver, Nicolas Hernandez, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The southbound lanes of Harden Boulevard were shut down for 3 1/2 hours for the investigation.
