Lakeland U.S. Capitol Riot Suspect Sought By FBI: Authorities

Federal law enforcement is asking for help locating a Polk County man accused of violent acts toward police Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.

POLK COUNTY, FL — The Federal Bureau of Investigation is searching for a 21-year-old Lakeland resident, John Pollock, who is accused of assault during the U.S. Capitol riots in January, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

"Pollock assaulted three police officers, pulling one down a set of steps, kneeing and punching another in the face, and punching and pushing a third by the neck," the FBI said to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Pollock is also accused of taking a riot shield from an officer and engaging in a tug-of-war conflict, according to the United States Attorney's Office.
