Long-Awaited Roundabout Opens On Old Bartow Lake Wales Road

BARTOW, FL — A new roundabout at the intersection of Old Bartow Lake Wales Road and Rattlesnake Road (County Road 653) in Lake Wales has opened to traffic after a lengthy delay and work stoppages needed to relocate active Duke Energy utility poles away from the traffic circle construction area.

The Old Bartow Lake Wales Road and Rattlesnake Road roundabout will improve the flow and safety through the intersection and provide access to a new subdivision being built on the east side and a new elementary school under construction at the northwest corner.
