Man Accused Of Meeting Minor For Sex Arrested: Polk Sheriff
Deputies with the Polk County Sheriff's Office are conducting a forensic search on the suspect's phone who wanted to meet a minor for sex.
POLK COUNTY, FL — A 42-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he'd driven to a Frostproof location to meet a minor for sex, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Arne Jensen, Jr., of Avon Park started chatting with a "16-year-old" girl on Facebook who was really an adult female, investigators said. According to the affidavit, the woman posted items for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Jensen contacted her through messenger using a female Facebook profile name. Jensen is accused of sending the message, "Can you meet me at the boat ramp...and I will have my zipper down and have it sticking out..."
The woman asked Jensen questions after he sent the sexually explicit message. He kept messaging her about sexual acts he wanted to commit in her presence and to her, investigators said. She told him that she was only 16-years-old. He told her that he was 42, and it was ok if she was only 16. Deputies said he gave her his phone number and then sent nude photos of himself, and told her his name was Arne.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office took over after the woman reported the messages and photos to deputies. A detective started communicating with Jensen as the 16-year-old girl. Authorities said Jensen continued to send nude photos and sexual messages.
Jensen requested for the girl to meet him at the Lake Streety Road boat ramp in unincorporated Frostproof. Detectives met him there, and he was arrested on charges of traveling to meet a minor for sex, transmitting harmful material to a minor and attempted sexual battery, according to deputies.

Jensen’s cell phone was taken by investigators for a forensic search to see if there are other victims.
“This man is a sexual predator and a creep," Sheriff Grady Judd said. "According to his criminal history, this isn’t the first time he’s attempted something like this. Fortunately, the reportee recognized the danger and helped our detectives catch this predator before he could hurt a child.”
