Man Accused Of Sexual Battery On A 6-Year-Old: Bartow Police

BARTOW, FL — A 70-year-old Bartow man is accused of sexual battery on a six-year-old girl.

Donnie K. Worley was arrested on charges of sexual battery on a victim less than 12 years of age and lewd molestation of a victim less than 12 years of age, the Bartow Police Department said.

The victim's parents told authorities on Nov. 12 that the suspect was sexually abusing their daughter.

"This suspect is the worst of the worst," said Interim Chief Bryan Dorman. "Those who commit heinous crimes upon our children need to sit in jail and not walk freely in public as predators. He is right where he needs to be, in the county jail."

Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and do not believe there are any other victims.

Patch will not release the name of the victim because she is a minor. The Bartow Police Department will not release the name due to Marsy's Law.
