Lakeland House Fire Kills 1: Polk County Fire Rescue

POLK COUNTY, FL — A man died inside a manufactured home when a fire took over a large portion of the inside Thursday morning, Polk County Fire Rescue said.

The fire started just before 11:21 a.m. at 1229 Skyview Cove, investigators said. By 12:01 p.m., the fire rescue had the fire under control. The victim's identity has not been released. Fire rescue has not released the cause of the fire.
