Man Accused Of Repeated Sex Crimes Blames Florida Girl
A 41-year-old father has been accused of sexually abusing a Florida girl from the time she was 7 until the time she was 12, police said.

AUBURNDALE, FL — A 41-year-old married man and father has been accused of sexually abusing a Florida girl repeatedly from the time she was 7 until the time she was 12 and taking sexually explicit images of her, according to Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, who called the case one of the most "horrific, abusive, deviant" he had ever seen. The accused man told authorities that the girl was to blame for the abuse she suffered.
"It's bad enough and ugly enough and filthy enough to abuse a child like this, and to do it for this many years is times a million," said Judd in announcing the arrest on Wednesday. "And then to take pornographic child porn pictures of the child that you are sexually abusing, there aren’t words to describe that."

Carlos Calderon of Mexico is facing multiple felony charges, including sexual battery of a child, lewd molestation of a child under the age of 12, use of a child in sexual performance and sexual performance by a child. In addition, he is charged with unlawful use of a two-way communication device, according to the sheriff's office.
Judd said his agency has been unable to obtain confirmation of Calderon's immigration status because of the partial government shutdown.

"Carlos told us that he was here on an expired work visa from Mexico," said Judd. "I don't think this is someone we want in our country, except now he will probably be here for the rest of his natural life if he's convicted, because these are life felonies that he's committed. So we have this guy in our county jail at taxpayers' costs."
When Calderon's fingerprints were entered into a database, the sheriff's office said it received notification of a warrant for arrest of alien from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
Judd said that Calderon gave investigators an unusual confession.
"Are you ready for this? Here's what he told us: It's not my fault. It's hers. She encouraged it," Judd recalled. "She's 7. She's now 12. She encouraged it? You're a 41-year-old-man and you're suggesting that this person, this baby, this child encouraged it."
Investigators found the sexually explicit images of the girl on Calderon's cell phone, according to the sheriff's office. Judd said he was not aware of any other victims or whether the images had been shared with others though the sheriff requested that anyone with information on possible other victims contact his office.
Detectives also located a pink adult sex toy in Calderon's bedroom dresser drawer, that was described by the child, the sheriff's office said.
Judd said that the incidents occurred on a "continuous basis" during the multi-year period. The child recently told an adult about Calderon.
Calderon was being held in the Polk County Jail on $400,000 bond and two counts of no bond.
According to the sheriff's office, Calderon had eight previous arrests, including six for driving with a non-valid, suspended, or revoked driver's license. He was arrested in 2006 for a probation violation and in 2012 for possession of the drug K-2, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Judd said Calderon was married with a family.
"The wife of this man was totally shocked, was 100 percent cooperative with us, and couldn't believe that he was capable of such conduct," said Judd. "This man and his wife do have children. I'm not sure how many."
