More than 460 Grams Of Fentanyl, Meth Found In Winter Haven Drug Bust

Winter Haven police officers said they arrested a man found with 442 grams of fentanyl mixed with methamphetamine.

WINTER HAVEN, FL — In its continuing effort to get fentanyl and other drugs off the streets, Winter Haven police officers said they arrested a man found with 442.3 grams of methamphetamine mixed with fentanyl as well as 26.5 grams of pure meth and 2.2 grams of fentanyl.

On Wednesday at 5:37 p.m., officers spotted a truck driving in the area of Lake Shipp South and 7th Street Southwest with illegally tinted windows and pulled it over.

Police said the driver, 61 year-old Floyd Hintteon Green Jr. of 128 2nd St. W, Winter Haven, allowed officers to search his vehicle. Police found a black bag behind the driver's seat. Inside were three baggies and a container shaped like a soft drink bottle with duct tape around it containing the drugs.

Green was released from state prison in December 2020 after serving 2 1/2 years for trafficking methamphetamine, police said.

He was charged with trafficking in fentanyl and methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also received a citation for the dark tint on the windows.

"Our officers continue their dedicated efforts to find these drugs and get them off the street," said Police Chief David Brannan. "The fentanyl crisis is putting our officers and citizens at risk daily, but we will not stop focusing on this dangerous drug and the people who choose to use or sell it."
