44-Year-Old Woman Killed In Polk Crash

LAKELAND, FL -- A 44-year-old New Jersey woman was killed early Tuesday evening when the driver of the Dodge Durango she was riding in lost control and overturned on Interstate 4 in Polk County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The woman was identified as Eyesenia Webb of Paterson. She was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

Five other people in the Durango, including a baby, were also taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol said alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which occurred at 6:26 p.m.

Troopers said the Durango was heading east on Interstate-4 at milepost 32 when "for unknown reason" the driver lost control, left the highway, entered the center median, collided with a cable barrier and overturned. The vehicle landed in the westbound lanes of Interstate-4.
