New Year's Eve 2022 In Lakeland: Masquerades, Buffets, Live Music

Editor's Note: According to the National Weather Service, there's a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on New Year's Eve, Dec. 31, mainly after 2 p.m. with patches of fog occurring before 11 a.m. The chance of thunderstorms increases to 40 percent into the evening with patchy fog between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Be sure to contact the venue, especially if the event is taking place outdoors, to make sure it hasn't been canceled.

LAKELAND, FL — While Lakeland doesn't have a famous New Year's giant ball drop like Times Square in New York City or even a less-familiar tradition like the giant Potato Drop in Boise, Idaho, there's plenty of happenings in and around Lakeland to ring in the new year.

Here are some of the events happening in and around Lakeland to ring in the new year:

• There will be a New Year's Eve Grand Buffet and After Party at Terrace Grille Lakeland, 329 E Main St., Lakeland, with seatings at 5 and 7 p.m. in the dining room. The main and mezzanine bars will be open throughout the evening. Click here.
