Pedestrian Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Lakeland; Police Seek Clues
Lakeland police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Saturday that killed a 37-year-old woman.
LAKELAND, FL â Lakeland police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Saturday that killed a 37-year-old woman.
At 11:06 p.m., officers were called to the 1000 block of West 10th Street and found an unresponsive female lying in the roadway. Despite the efforts of first responders, the woman died at the scene.
Based on information gathered, police believe she was struck by a silver sedan that was heading east on West 10th Street and struck the woman who was walking in the eastbound lane.

After hitting the pedestrian, police believe the driver fled east on 10th Street and turned south on Webster Avenue.
Detectives say the front end of the car may be damaged and there is possibly a dent in the car's right rear bumper.
