Pedestrian Killed In Lakeland Hills Boulevard Crash
A 63-year-old man was killed in a Thursday evening crash on Lakeland Hills Boulevard.

LAKELAND, FL — The Lakeland Police Department is investigating a fatal Thursday evening crash that claimed the life of a 63-year-old man.
According to the police department, John Robert Lynn of Lakeland was crossing Lakeland Hills Boulevard in an area not marked for pedestrians around 6 p.m. Jan. 16. As Lynn crossed in the 2100 block, a motorcyclist saw him and had to serve out of the way, an email from the agency said.
The driver of a 2015 Acura TLX, Joshua Greene, 34, however didn’t see Lynn and struck him, police said. Greene pulled over after the crash and called 911.

Police say Lynn was pronounced dead at the scene. Greene suffered no injuries in the crash.
The road was closed for more than 3 hours as investigators worked the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time, pending the outcome of the investigation. Police are releasing no further information at this time.
