WINTER HAVEN, FL — The Polk County Sheriff's office is investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck in a hit-and-run in Winter Haven early Monday morning, WFLA reported.
Deputies were called to Spirit Lake Road at around 2:29 a.m., and the north and southbound lanes were closed will about 5:43 a.m., according to the outlet.
There is no description for the vehicle, the outlet reported.
