Missing 6-Year-Old Winter Haven Girl Found Unharmed: Police

Nephtalie Joseph was dropped off at school and was later found at a nearby church.

Update: Nephtalie Joseph has been located at a nearby church, Winter Haven police said. She was not harmed.


WINTER HAVEN, FL - Authorities are searching for a 6-year-old girl who went missing in Winter Haven Friday morning, police said.

Nephtalie Joseph was dropped off at school at the corner of Havendale Boulevard and 26th Street NW about 7:50 a.m. She did not report to Garner Elementary School and has not been seen since, according to Winter Haven police.

Nephtalie is wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans and has braided hair with red and while beads in the braids. She speaks Creole.

Anyone who has seen or knows where Nephtalie is should call 911 immediately.
