Southbound Lanes Of Highway 27 Shut Down By Polk Crash
One person was killed Friday night and at least one other was taken to the hospital following a crash along U.S. Highway 27.
DAVENPORT, FL — One person was killed Friday night and at least one other was taken to the hospital following a crash along U.S. Highway 27 that partially shut down traffic.
Brian Bruchey of the Polk County Sheriff's Office said the crash occurred at Central Grove Road in the Four Corner area.
Southbound traffic along Highway 27 was shut down Friday night north of the crash scene starting at California Boulevard. Northbound traffic was moving slowly Friday night but remained open to traffic.

Bruchey said he did not know how long the southbound lanes would be affected by the two-vehicle crash, which occurred at 5:53 p.m.
