Here's How You Can Become A Paid Election Worker In Polk County

Find out about the duties election workers are responsible for on Election Day, and how you can obtain this paid position at polling places.

POLK COUNTY, FL — If you're a Polk County resident wanting to be an election worker, an information meeting is scheduled Thursday, according to a news release.

“These are paid positions working at polling places on Election Day,” Supervisor of Elections Lori
Edwards said.

Residents may apply at Thursday's meetings. The first meeting begins at 10 a.m., and for those who can't make it to the morning meeting, a 6 p.m. meeting will take place. Both meetings will be at the Election Operations Center, 70 Florida Citrus Boulevard, Winter Haven. No reservation is required.

Voters who have served as election workers in Polk County in recent years are welcome but do not need to attend.
