Precautionary Boil Water Issued In Polk County

A precautionary boil water notice was issued Wednesday by Polk County Utilities.

MULBERRY, FL -- A precautionary boil water notice was issued Wednesday by Polk County Utilities. The alert affects customers in the Imperial Lakes subdivision of Mulberry from Copperstone Circle to Heather Glynne Road North.

Water officials said that notice was required by the Florida Department of Health "due to a loss of pressure for customers" in the affected area.

Water officials said that blamed the loss of pressure on a main line break. About 42 customers were affected.

"As a PRECAUTION, we advise that all water users drink bottled water and/or boil water to a rolling boil for at least one minute for cooking and drinking," water officials said.
