Road Construction To Detour Traffic In Winter Haven, Auburndale
Road projects throughout Polk County will result in detours and delays.

POLK COUNTY, FL — Several road construction projects requiring road closures will detour traffic in Winter Haven and Auburndale.
Eloise Loop Road just west of West Lake Eloise Drive in southwest Winter Haven will be closed for 30 days starting Monday, Nov. 14, to construct a roundabout for the new large-scale Harmony at Lake Eloise residential development. Eloise Loop Road traffic will be rerouted north along West Lake Eloise Drive or south to Eagle Lake Loop Road to get around the closure.
Ongoing roadwork for a new Publix shopping center in north Auburndale continues to keep William Van Fleet Road (County Road 559A) closed until early December. Traffic is being briefly detoured along State Road 559 and C. Fred Jones Boulevard to bypass the work zone.

A two-day project to restore pavement damaged by a water main break will close Osceola Street from Lake Ariana Blvd. to Seminole Avenue in Auburndale on Monday, Nov. 14. A short detour along Seminole Avenue will redirect traffic to avoid the closure.
Drivers should drive carefully, be alert to crews and equipment, and follow detour signs. Minor delays should be expected, especially during peak-hour travel times.
