HAINES CITY, FL -- A "shocking video" released by Florida police on Thursday shows a black Ford F-150 pickup truck strike two people last weekend and then speed away.

"The video capturing this incident is shocking and it's amazing no one died as a result of this intentional act," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. "If you saw something that evening, please say something."

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Brin Road and Cattle Trail Road in Haines City.

Sherrie Morgan of the Polk County Sheriff's Office said that two people were injured, one of them seriously.

"A large party had just been cleared out on the Rancho Los Pinos private property at 5557 Hinson Avenue when a verbal argument took place between some people that turned physical," said Morgan.

"Witnesses say the driver of a Black Ford F-150 intentionally struck two victims," she explained.

The victims were identified as 35-year-old Anselmo Salazar of Ocoee, who suffered only minor injuries and 34-year-old Hugo Zarate Gonzalez of Orlando, who was struck and run over by the truck.

"He was severely injured and transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center," Morgan said. Gonzalez was listed in critical but stable condition. Salazar was taken to a local hospital and released.

A third man managed to jump out of the way of the pickup truck, according to Morgan.
