Missing Lakeland Woman Found: Police
The Lakeland Police Department has cancelled a silver alert issued for Sherri Carpenter, a Lakeland resident, who went missing Monday.
LAKELAND, FL — The silver alert for Sherri Carpenter of Lakeland has been cancelled after detectives said she was found safe Tuesday and reunited with her family.

A silver alert has been issued Tuesday morning for a 56-year-old Polk County woman who lives with dementia, the Lakeland Police Department said.

Sherri Carpenter was last seen Monday at approximately 2:40 p.m. leaving Glengreen Lane in Lakeland, and was most likely headed to someone's house in Bartow, according to investigators. She is likely driving a red 2014 Nissan Sentra with Florida tag NTC S32. She wore a navy T-shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes when she left the Lakeland area.
Carpenter is 5-feet-3 and weighs 150 pounds. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Officers said she has the early stages of dementia.
