Starbucks Giving Away Espresso At Pop-Up Cheer Parties

Starbucks locations in the Tampa Bay area are hosting 'Pop-Up Cheer Parties' through Jan. 2.

Starbucks is hoping to spread a little goodwill over the holiday season. To help achieve the goal, the coffee chain has kicked off a campaign dubbed 10 Days of Cheer. During the promotion, which lasts through Jan. 2, customers at select stores will receive free tall espressos.

Over the course of the 10-day promotion, Starbucks intends to host 1,000 Pop-Up Cheer Parties nationwide. The parties will take place at 100 locations across the country a day – with the exception of Christmas Day.

Kicking off the event, two Tampa Bay area Starbucks are taking part in the free drink offer Dec. 23 from 1 to 2 p.m. They are:

  • Lakeland – 4720 S. Florida Ave.
  • Dunedin – 1785 Main St.

A total of 100 new locations will be announced each day through Jan. 2. Parties are set to take place from 1 to 2 p.m. daily through the promotion. The locations can be found on Starbucks' website and Twitter with the hashtags #FindCheer #10daysofcheer. So check the list every day to see if the Starbucks location closest to you makes the free drink offer.

Customers who stop by the pop-up parties will also receive a “cheer card.” This provides discounts on drinks, lunch items and more during the 10 Days of Cheer.
