Sub Teacher Arrested For Sex Offenses Against 2 Polk Students: Sheriff
Two Lakeland charter school students said their substitute teacher sent them videos showing him masturbating, said the sheriff.

LAKELAND, FL — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested a substitute English teacher working at New Beginnings High School, a charter school in Lakeland, and charged him with sex offenses against two of his female students, said the sheriff's office.
Jerron Dunn, 33, of Lakeland was charged with felony sex offense on a student by an authority and transmission of material harmful to a minor. He was booked into the Polk County Jail Thursday morning.
The investigation began when the two female students, a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, told their guidance counselor that Dunn sent them both videos of himself masturbating via Snapchat. The guidance counselor contacted the sheriff's office.

The 17-year-old told detectives she had borrowed a charger for her phone from Dunn and, while her phone was charging, he went into her phone and added himself to her Snapchat followers. He then began sending her messages asking her to come visit him at his house, according to the sheriff's office. She declined, but he continued to send messages, including the explicit video.

The 18-year-old victim told detectives that she accepted Dunn's friend request on Snapchat. He then sent her a message telling her she was pretty and that he wanted to be a "friend with benefits" and have her come over to his house and have sex with him. He sent the explicit video to her as well.
"This suspect used his position of authority over students to groom them and attempt to have sex with them," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "Our hope is that there are no other victims. We encourage anyone who has been victimized by Jerron Dunn to please contact law enforcement."
Bond was set at $30,000 during Dunn's first court appearance Thursday.
