Subaru Employees Journey 1,100 Miles For Homeless Pets
Following Hurricane Ian, John Ross and Corey Bannister with Subaru hauled a trailer filled with pet food, treats and more across the state.
LAKELAND, FL — In the aftermath of Hurricane Ian, two employees from Subaru of America Inc. made a two-day journey of more than 1,100 miles to the Suncoast Humane Society to help transport and donate items to the animals in need.
Subaru Zone Retailer Marketing Manager John Ross and Orlando Zone Specialist Corey Bannister hauled a trailer filled with pet food, treats and more across the state in a Subaru Ascent. The donation was made in collaboration with the Subaru Orlando Zone network of retailers and is part of the national Subaru Loves Pets commitment.
The Suncoast Humane Society is rescuing a large number of dogs and cats from kill shelters that were surrendered or lost due to Hurricane Ian. Subaru’s donation will support the society’s mission of finding loving homes for pets displaced from the hurricane.
