Trailer Tire Kills Winter Haven Man On Motorcycle: Troopers
A Winter Haven motorcyclist died in a crash involving a tire from another vehicle on Interstate 75 in Sumter County Thursday morning.
SUMTER COUNTY, FL — A tire on a trailer being pulled by a truck from Georgia fell off suddenly and killed a 32-year-old motorcyclist of Winter Haven Thursday morning in Sumter County, a Florida Highway Patrol news release said.
The motorcycle flipped over when it hit the tire in a lane on Interstate 75 southbound near mile marker 321 at 11:50 a.m., authorities said.
The victim then flew off the bike, according to troopers.

Medical examiners pronounced the man dead at the crash location, troopers said.
A 55-year-old Georgia man did not have any injuries from the crash, law enforcement officials said.
