Vehicle Of Interest Sought In Lakeland Murder
Lakeland police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of a pickup truck that may be connected to a murder.

LAKELAND, FL -- Lakeland police are asking for the public's help in identifying the owner of a pickup truck that may be connected to the murder of a 32-year-old man and the wounding of a second man. The double shooting occurred at 11:35 p.m. Friday inside Artillery Motor Sports, 3609 Century Boulevard.
Thirty-two-year-old Steven Schelmety was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lakeland police. The second victim was taken to Lakeland Regional Health in critical condition.
"The name of the second subject shot and listed in critical condition is exempt as a witness to a murder," police said.
