Voting Locations Change After 30 Polling Places Closed In Polk: Report
Voters affected by the closing of over 20 polling locations in Polk County will be sent new voter ID cards with an updated polling location.
POLK COUNTY, FL — Polling places for the August primaries will change for numerous Polk County voters, WTVT reported.
Thirty polling places in the county have permanently closed, Polk County Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards told the TV outlet.
"Politics have become so polarized, and to many, distasteful. And the truth of the matter is elections offices are not involved in politics. We are non-partisan," Edwards said, the TV station reported.

Polk County voters should pay attention to any mail delivered from the elections office because the new voter ID cards sent will include polling location changes, Edwards told WTVT.
