Winter Haven Man Dies After Being Throw From Pickup Truck In Crash
The driver and his passenger, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from the truck.

POLK COUNTY, FL — A 66-year-old Winter Haven man has died following a crash Sunday.
The Winter Haven man was driving a pickup truck north on 1st Street North at 9:06 p.m. and an 18-year-old Winter Haven man was driving south on 1st Street North, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At the intersection of Avenue Q Northwest, the pickup truck turned left into the path of the car and was struck by the car. The truck traveled to the outside shoulder and overturned. The driver and his passenger, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from the truck.

The car traveled to the outside shoulder and struck a building at 118 Avenue Q Northwest.
The pickup truck driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital where the driver died and the passenger is in serious condition. The 18-year-old, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries.
