Winter Haven Woman Fatally Struck By 2 Cars In Polk County
Florida state police said the incident happened early Saturday morning in Polk County.
POLK COUNTY, FL — A woman is dead after police said she was struck by two cars on Interstate 4 in Polk County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened Saturday around 12:40 a.m. near mile marker 43.
Police said the 35-year-old Winter Haven woman was walking across the highway when she was struck by an eastbound Toyota Corolla driven by a 27-year-old Portland, Oregon, man.

Following the collision, police said the woman was struck by another unknown vehicle, which continued traveling eastbound without stopping.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
