Missing Lakeland Woman With Alzheimer's Found Safe

A sliver alert has been canceled for a 70-year-old Lakeland woman who has been found safe.

LAKELAND, FL — A sliver alert that was issued for Ingrid Purvis on Tuesday has been canceled after the Lakeland Police Department located her. She is being reunited with her family.

A silver alert has been issued for a local 70-year-old woman with Alzheimer's, the Lakeland Police Department said.

Ingrid Purvis left the Hollis Cancer Center, 3525 Lakeland Hills Blvd, on Tuesday at 3 p.m., and has not been seen since. Investigators said she is traveling in a white 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan, with Florida tag KWW E34. The vehicle has a ramp on the passenger side for wheelchair access.

Purvis is 5-feet-2 and weighs 150 pounds. She has silver/grey hair and was last wearing a blue patterned shirt and gray capri pants.
