Woman Dies In 3-Car Crash On State Road 544 In Winter Haven: Cops
The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a wreck in Polk County Friday that involved a driver losing control of her car.

WINTER HAVEN, FL — A 74-year-old Port St. Lucie woman was killed Friday afternoon when she lost control of her car on State Road 544, Florida Highway Patrol said.
She drove eastbound on SR 544 toward Old Lucerne Road when she lost control of the car at about 2:39 p.m, according to investigators. This caused her to drive over to the westbound side of State Road 544 where she wrecked into the front of a pickup truck. Afterward, her car spun and crashed into another car.
The 74-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the SR-544 location, the crash report said. The driver of the third car, a 66-year-old man of Haines City, experienced serious injuries.
