Life Sentence Without Parole For Woman Who Killed Boyfriend's Child

LAKELAND, FL — A Polk County woman has been found guilty of murdering her boyfriend's six-year-old child in 2018, the Polk County State Attorney's Office said.

Breonna Wren severely beat the child while they were visiting their father in Lakeland. According to investigators, the victim suffered a lacerated liver, three skull fractures and more than 30 other injuries.

Wren will be sentenced to a mandatory life sentence with no chance of parole since she was found guilty of first degree murder. The father's criminal case is still pending.
