2 Land O' Lakes Men Killed When Truck Makes U-Turn In Car's Path

Two Land O' Lakes men died after colliding with a tractor-trailer truck that made a U-turn in front of their car on U.S. 41 Friday.

PASCO COUNTY, FL β€” Two Land O' Lakes men died after colliding with a tractor-trailer truck making a U-turn in front of their car on U.S. 41 Friday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 1:16 a.m. a single-unit 4300 Series International truck driven by a 54-year-old Largo man was traveling north on U.S. 41, south of Crystal Lake Road, as a Ford Mustang driven by a 30-year-old Land O' Lakes man was heading south on U.S. 41.

Troopers said the truck attempted a U-turn in the path of the Mustang, causing the Mustang to slam into the right side of the truck.

The Land O' Lakes man and his passenger, a 32-year-old Land O' Lakes man, died at the scene.

The truck driver was not injured.
