ZEPHYRHILLS, FL - A 2-month-old boy was take to All Children’s Hospital with multiple skull fractures that were β€œconsistent with high-velocity blows” to the head, deputies said. Jacob Lee Brattain, 25, was arrested Sunday for aggravated child abuse.

Brattain said the baby had a seizure-like episode and passed out so he called 911. He told deputies he didn’t know how the baby suffered the skull fractures.

Brattain said he was the only person caring for the baby at the time. A doctor determined the injuries were due to abusive head trauma, deputies said. The child was listed in critical condition.
