2 Pasco Libraries Restore Monday Hours

The two Pasco County Library branches will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies to celebrate restoring Monday operating hours.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – For more than a decade, Pasco County Libraries reduced their operating hours because of drastic budget cuts. Now, two of the systems’ libraries will celebrate the return of Monday hours to their branches.

The Land O’ Lakes Library and the Regency Park Library will host ribbon-cutting ceremonies on Monday, Oct. 16 to welcome back the return of Monday services. According to Pasco County, Monday hours will be restored at all other library branches over the next three years.

  • 9:45 a.m.: Land O’ Lakes Library, 2818 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes; Moore will lead the ceremony
  • 10 a.m.: Regency Park Library, 9701 Little Road, New Port Richey

β€œRestoring library hours was one of the Board’s priorities this past budget cycle,” said Pasco County Commission Chairman Mike Moore. β€œWe are excited to give Pasco County residents more time to enjoy everything they love about the libraries.”

In addition to the two branches with restored Monday hours, all the Pasco County Libraries branches will open an hour earlier at 10 a.m. on the days they are open. All libraries will remain closed on Sundays.

Pasco County Library hours were restored as part of the 2017-18 fiscal year budget, which the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners approved Tuesday, Sept. 26.
