5 Things Includes a Wacky Wish and a Winery
It's the weekend of Dec. 10 and 11—eek, I haven't even started shopping! — and there are a few things we'd like you to know this weekend. Five of them, actually.

What are you up to this fine Saturday morning? If you're out and about, stop by at the Land O' Lakes community center. Bring the kids for pancakes with Santa, crafts and music performed by local school bands. Breakfast starts at 9 a.m. And guess what? Patch will be there! Come say "hey!"
The Community Christmas Store at Candlewood Community Churchfrom 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. New and gently used items will be for sale. Proceeds from the sale benefit Oasis-A Pregnancy Center.
If you're looking for some grownup fun later, Florida Estates Winery, 25241 State Road 52 near Land O'Lakes, will host a wine festival and its 10th birthday party from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will include vendors, live music from Sam Osborne (light and classic rock) and wine sampling. Feel free to bring Fido—the winery is pet-friendly.

Patch wants to know (because we're knows-y), what are some of the strangest things your children have asked Santa to bring? My 7-year-old asked for a wheelbarrow and a black wig last year. This year she asked for "science stuff that explodes." I hope one day I'm not writing crime stories with her mugshot in them. Share your story for our wacky wish list feature. Email keli.sipperley@patch.com.
And while we're on the subject of what Patch wants—could you, would you grant our Christmas wish, and help us get to 600 Facebook fans before the year is out? Please and thank you, my Patchy friends!
