Our deepest thanks to the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and to the families they left behind.
Since 9/11, 6,442 Americans have died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
At 12:01 p.m. today, Iraq and Afghanistan Veternas of America will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, and they are asking the nation to join them by observing a moment of silence.
