Armed Robbers Strike Wendy’s

A shot was fired, but no one was hit.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Wendy’s in Land O’ Lakes.

Two people crawled in the drive-through window of the fast food restaurant shortly after midnight Thursday morning, said Pasco Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kevin Doll.

One suspect carried a gun and the other carried brass knuckles, Doll said. The two suspects were clothed in black, and their faces were covered, Doll said.

Employees were inside the 2328 Raden Drive Wendy’s at the time, Doll said. A shot was fired, but nobody was hit. At least one employee was struck with the gun or brass knuckles, Doll said

The suspects escaped the scene with money from the restaurant, but the Sheriff’s Office is not disclosing the amount, Doll said.
