Auto Burglars Go On Connerton Spree

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Some residents of Land O’ Lakes woke up Monday morning to an unwelcomed discovery. According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, about 15 vehicles in the Connerton subdivision were broken into during the overnight hours.

Deputies say they were first notified about the break-ins around 4:30 a.m. Nov. 7. When they arrived on scene, they learned vehicles along Southern Charm Drive, Billowy Jaunt Drive and Sequester Loop had been burglarized.

Deputies were able to pull surveillance from the area that shows at least two people involved.

“One appeared to be a white male suspect, wearing a hoody, T-shirt and long shorts,” an email from the sheriff’s office said. “He was on foot holding what appeared to be a cell phone, which was illumated.”

The other suspects followed in a dark colored vehicle, the email said. The vehicle is possibly a Dodge Charger or Ford Mustang.

Several items were swiped from the vehicles, including one victim’s Florida specialty "Fish Florida" license tag. That tag has the number JH2LV.
