Boy, 4, Accidentally Shot In Stomach
A shooting involving a 4-year-old Zephyrhills boy is under investigation by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accidental shooting that sent a 4-year-old boy to the hospital in Zephyrhills Wednesday night.
According to the agency, a call about the injury came in from the 6700 block of Boulder Run Loop around 9:17 p.m. March 29. When deputies and Pasco County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene, they found the child suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The boy was airlifted to a local hospital.

Although the investigation remains active, deputies say the “boy appears to have suffered an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.” The child is expected to recover.
No further information is being released at this time, including the boy’s name. No charges have been announced.
