Suncoast Parkway Reopens After Brush Fire
The Suncoast Parkway has reopened following a brush-fire prompted closing.

LAND Oβ LAKES, FL β Motorists were being asked to steer clear of the Suncoast Parkway Saturday afternoon. A new wildfire that broke out in the area prompted the roadβs closing between State Roads 54 and 52. Courtesy of more than an inch of rainfall early Saturday evening, the 25-acre fire was deemed 80-percent under control shortly before 6 p.m. May 13
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, the Suncoast reopened in both directions shortly before 6:30 p.m.
The fire, dubbed the East Bike Trail blaze, broke out in the Starkey Preserve. It is a separate fire from the Anclote Branch blaze that has affected more than 2,275 acres in the preserve over the past week.
