Butcher Knife Wielding Man Arrested
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office says a Land O' Lakes man, 29, attacked his mother and then waved a knife at two deputies.

LAND Oβ LAKES, FL β A 29-year-old Land Oβ Lakes man faces criminal charges after a Tuesday night dispute took a violent turn.
According to the Pasco County Sheriffβs Office, deputies were called out to a home in the 21300 block of Rustic Lodge Lane just after 7 p.m. May 16. Once there, they learned an adult male had pushed his mother and grabbed another person at the home so forcefully bruises were left behind, an arrest report said. The man is then accused of using a flower pot and broomstick to cause more than $1,000 in damage to a vehicle parked at the home.

Deputies also noted upon their arrival the man was armed with a butcher knife. When they attempted to make contact with him, the man is accused of βwaving the knife in the airβ and refusing to let it go. The man then walked toward the two deputies βwhile swinging a knife in our direction,β the arrest report said.
The two deputies drew their firearms, the report said, and repeatedly told the man to drop his knife. At that point, the deputies tried to βtazeβ the man two times, but those effects were βmet with negative results,β the report said.

Shortly after the tazer attempts failed, the man reportedly dropped the knife to the ground. Deputies moved in to detain him, but faced some kicking and grabbing before they were able to, the report noted.
Miles Clarence Hudson Setty now faces two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, domestic battery charges for pushing his mother and battery for the attack on the second victim, the report said. He was also charged with criminal mischief for damaging the vehicle.
Setty was booked into the Land Oβ Lakes Jail following his Tuesday arrest.
