“The message of KBM and the Plan A Conference is that ordinary people are capable of making extraordinary differences in the world around them, often, one life at a time,” Candlewood member and event co-organizer Beth Reed said.
The church first hosted the conference in September 2007, just a few months after the church opened, Reed said.

“Since we've grown and added people to our congregation over the past several years we felt it was a good time to expose these newer folks to Dwight and the Plan A message. Candlewood seeks to be an externally focused church that makes a difference in our community. Having a Plan A ministry approach helps us accomplish that goal,” Reed said.
“It really has become part of our church's DNA and we want to share that excitement with our Land O’ Lakes community,” she said.
What can attendees expect to learn at the conference?
“This really is a message for everyone, to find how they can impact their world for good. It is a Biblical message based on the model Jesus gave us to touch our world by really seeing people and stopping to make a difference in their lives. Jesus called for more laborers, a word that included all of us, the ‘every’ in everyone,” Reed said.
The will be held from 6:45 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 9, and will continue from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 10. The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for students, high-school age and older. Breakfast and lunch is included Saturday.
