The event features free food and activities for the whole family to enjoy. It also features chances to meet and learn from from sheriffβs office deputies.
βItβs another way for citizens and the community to come out and meet the officers who serve and protect them,β said Sheriffβs Office spokesman Kevin Doll.
Itβs also a way to introduce citizens to the tools they can use to protect themselves, their loved ones and their communities.
Doll said there will be in formation on how to set up neighborhood watches and community watches, tips on protecting your valuables from theft and ways to communicate with and stay abreast of news at the Sheriffβs Office.
The event also offers giveaways from Target and provides childrens' finger printing.
National Night out goes from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Target at 2900 Little Road.
